Am I suited to becoming a Return-It Depot Owner/Operator?
Encorp seeks to engage with entrepreneurs who are interested in operating a Return-It Depot, when and where opportunities are available.
Ideal depot Owner/Operators have the energy and enthusiasm to grow a successful business, while adding to and benefiting from the value of Encorp’s established Return-It brand.
You are best suited to becoming a Return-It Depot Owner/Operator if you:
- Have demonstrated business acumen and adequate financial resources, and are willing to invest the time and money required to build and maintain an attractive business.
- Are a hands-on business operator who is driven to succeed, grow sales and to consistently reach and/or exceed Encorp’s operating standards.
- Have previous retail or customer service experience and/or have owned your own business.
- Have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Understand the importance and level of detail required to operate a clean, safe, and efficient used beverage container return depot.
- Have demonstrated leadership skills and a talent for recruiting and motivating staff.
- Can conduct business and communicate effectively in the English language. Additional languages proficiencies are a definite asset.
- Share values, which are aligned with Encorp’s Social Purpose.
What is the cost and return on investment?
Cost and return on investment will vary depending on:
- The size, layout and location of the Return-It Depot site.
- Your success in building local area customer satisfaction.
- Your ability to consistently provide Return-It customers with a clean and welcoming environment in which to return their used beverage containers.
What is the minimum size of a depot?
Return-It Depots in the Metro Vancouver area should be no less than 4,000 square feet – ideally more. The minimum size for Return-It Depots in other areas of British Columbia is dependent on the population served by the depot’s location.
Can I meet with an Encorp representative prior to submitting an application?
No, interviews are only provided to successful applicants that have passed an initial screening phase.
