What is the cost and return on investment?

Cost and return on investment will vary depending on:

  • The size, layout and location of the Return-It Depot site.
  • Your success in building local area customer satisfaction.
  • Your ability to consistently provide Return-It customers with a clean and welcoming environment in which to return their used beverage containers.

How does the depot get paid?

Depots get paid a handling fee for all returned used beverage containers. This handling fee varies depending on the type of container.

What is the minimum size of a depot?

Return-It Depots in the Metro Vancouver area should be no less than 4,000 square feet – ideally more. The minimum size for Return-It Depots in other areas of British Columbia is dependent on the population served by the depot’s location.
