North Vancouver Bottle & Return-It Depot

Below the beautiful backdrop of the North Shore Mountains lies the North Vancouver Bottle & Return-It Depot. To look his best Return-It Man decided to do repeats of the Grouse Grind. "It makes my calves look impressive" spouted Return-It Man as he flew into the depot parking lot out of breath. While Return-It Man flexed and posed for the passers-by, Super Sidekick and the depot staff went straight to work making the depot look its best; a prize wheel, pop, chips, balloons, and the best Korean Hip-Hop music that money can buy. Return-It Man showed off for the staff and patrons as he sung along to his favorite songs...that's right folks, Return-It Man not only speaks Korean, he raps in Korean! After the big draw he and Super Sidekick made a trip to mall in search of recyclers worthy of the coveted balloon give-away. We were pleased to report that North Vancouveris full of worthy recyclers.

Go Green Bottle Depot & Recycling

Go Green Bottle Depot & Recycling is normally quite a discreet, quiet location...but not today! With the tunes cranked and the briquette BBQ already fired up, Return-It Man knew he was in for a party. The Clink, Clank, Crunch of beverage containers echoed on the depot walls. “That's the sweet sound of recycling!” exclaimed Anthony (Depot Owner). After a quick minute it was up to Broadway where Return-It Man had a good chat with a team of cyclists. He reminded them of the similarities in their passion in cycling and RE-cycling. “We're soooo close!” exclaimed Return-It Man. A long groan later and it was time to head back for the big draw. The fellow who won was elated "I never win anything he shouted!" then he and Return-It Man danced to the music and then parted ways. “Well,” said Return-It Man, “this is certainly one of the loudest depots I have been to, and the best burger I've had all year!”

East Van Bottle Depot

The lovely ladies at the East Vancouver Bottle Depot could not resist Return-It Man's super smile...or so he thought. As the friendly staff swooned over Return-It Man it became apparent that they were after one thing and one thing only...his balloons. Return-It Man, a bit of a flirt himself, returned with a up the helium tank. “Wheuf! I think every kid in East Van now has a balloon.” he exclaimed. Between a hardware store and a pet store, Return-It Man traveled everywhere, spreading good cheer and recycling knowledge to all.

Fleetwood Bottle Depot

Return-It Man had to fight some tough head winds to get to the Fleetwood Bottle Depot, not to mention some serious cape trouble. But once at the depot, the friendly staff and customers made everything worth while. Just like the ups and downs of his morning, the yo-yos were a big sensation as kids and parents alike re-discovered one of the coolest toys ever made! Because the depot was so 'bumping' Return-It Man had to turn his tent into a parking stall to accommodate all the traffic, and when it appeared that the depot was ready to burst with patrons, Return-It Man headed to the Fraser Highway to refuel on honks from cars passing by. One of the best wavers around, Return-It Man was able to spread good cheer to all and even drum up some more business for the ever popular Fleetwood Bottle Depot.

South Van Bottle Depot

"Wow, what a depot!" nudged Return-It Man to his Super Sidekick. The two heroes were in awe of Kulbir's new depot location. “You could fit a 747 in here” exclaimed Super Sidekick.  “Hey, if it can be recycled then we'll take it” joked the staff. *Disclaimer: the South Van Depot does not actually take planes or other aviation paraphernalia. After their tent and games were all set up, our two heroes made a B-line for Marine Drive, one of Return-It Man's favourite car-waving locations. The honk to car ratio was outstanding, and as we all know Return-It Man can actually recharge on car honks. In fact most Super Heroes can... a little known factoid. After the horn-honking, our two heroes had time for one more trip before the draw. The Superstore was packed this Sunday, people entered and exited in droves, all of them impressed with Return-It Man's recycling knowledge and, of course, outrageous charm.

Mission Recycle Centre

Return-It Man really had to work hard to stand out in Mission... apparently the body building capital of BC. With everyone already flexing and posing, Return-It Man had to resort to other methods to get folks attention. Cranking tunes like "Big Girls Don't Cry" and "Surfing USA" Return-It Man danced his way into the hearts of Missioners. In fact, so happy was his audience that they decided to buy him an ice cold lemonade. As Return-It Man cooled in the shade a camera man from the "Mission Record" decided it was time to raise Return-It Man's Super Hero Status to "Celebrity". Return-It Man will be anxiously awaiting next weeks paper to read all about the positive impact he had on the Recyclers in Mission, and of course to see if the camera caught his good side.
