Full Refund Bottle Depot, Kamloops

Date: Saturday May 9, 2009

As Return-It-Man caught the up drafts flying into town, he knew it was going to be a toasty day in the city known for it's blazing heat, hockey teams, and recycling gusto. Super Sidekick met him at Full Refund Bottle Depot and the two immediately went to work handing out balloons, spinning the prize wheel and of course getting behind the counter to give the hard working staff a little break. Later in the afternoon, after the excitement of the mp3 player draw had settled down, Return-It-Man flew out a the local wholesale grocery store! After he had his fill of samples, he marched from car to car, reminding folks of the variety of recyclables that they would soon be taking home. Once Return-It Man had made sure all his beverage container compatriots would make it to the Depot safe and sound, it was time to bid farewell. Return-It Man not being one for long goodbyes gave the Depot staff his signature high five and disappeared into the Kamloops sun.

Bill’s Bottle Depot Ltd., Salmon Arm

Date: Sunday May 10, 2009

As Super Sidekick drove to Bill’s Bottle Depot, he noticed a familiar sight on the side of the road. Driving closer he had to do a double take... Why was Return-It Man dancing beside the freeway? Return-It-Man grinning ear to ear exclaimed, “The New Kids on the Block will be at the Depot!” With a flyer clutched in his fist, Return-It Man explained that on the way to the Depot he had noticed ads all over town letting people know that NKOTB would be performing live at Bill's Bottle Depot for Mother's Day. Return-It Man, being a founding member of the NKOTB Fan Club, was ecstatic!! So ecstatic in fact that he was spotted at a number of locations (the Marina Park, Aberdeen Mall and Downtown to name a few) letting everyone about the boy band's sensational comeback at the Depot. Hurrying back to Bill's Depot, Return-It Man was shocked to find that in place of a giant stage was a small enclosure, and in it the New Kids weren't singing and dancing but rather... grazing. Super Sidekick waited for Return-It Man to frown, but much to everyone’s surprise he jumped for joy; “Ah.... new KIDS!! There are only two things I like more than 80’s pop bands... RECYCLING AND BABY ANIMALS!” Return-It Man could hardly contain himself as he and the children pet and fed the 2 week old goats while chatting the day away about recycling and the wonderful place that is Bill's Bottle Depot.
