Week 8 Highlights

Cloverdale Bottle Depot

'Free' and 'Food' were the words of the day at the Cloverdale Depot. Return-It-Man tied on the apron and put on a 'flippin' great show, as he got behind the BB-Q and grilled Super Burgers for everyone! Balloons flying high in the sky, people flocked to the depot to see what all the fuss was about. To their surprise it was our hero who by mid day was busy as ever making sure that everyone walked away with more than just extra cash... Yo-yos and tattoos were in abundance as Return-It-Man brought smiles to all sorts of friendly faces.

Fleetwood Bottle Depot

As soon as our Super Hero noticed the beautiful "Welcome Return-It Man" painting in the window, he knew that he was in for a treat. By noon the depot was so packed Return-It Man was literally squeezing around dozens of smiling recyclers handing out draw ballots and high fives. Later in the day our hero spun over to the mall where he was countlessly mistaken for the HULK. With a smile Return-It Man reminded everyone that there is not a Super Hero out there who can sort beverage containers like him. Happily demonstrating his recycling powers for the masses, Return-It Man then made his way back to the depot in time for cookies and yes... the big camera draw!

Jenill Recycling

Return-It Man was strutting his stuff for the fun loving folks at Jenill Recycling. The friendly staff had a blast with our Super Hero as he danced around the parking lot giving away T-Shirts and prizes... those loyal recyclers loved putting on the Return-lt Man tattoos! When the prize swag got low, Return-It Man and his Super Sidekick dashed over to the local plaza where they found their expertise was required. But not to fear, after a few quick recycling tips Return-It Man had everything in order.

R&T Recyclables and Bottle Depot

For Return-It Man it was like saying hello to old friends... R&T Recyclables and Bottle Depot's walls were literally covered in old bottles and cans from this past century.  Return-It Man couldn't help but feel a sense of pride and nostalgia. With his head held high, Return-It Man marched the perimeter of the building, "Frisbees and Tattoos for all!" Between the roadside waves and the friendly depot patrons, Return-It Man was all about spreading the recycling cheer, as he and his Super Sidekick made sure that all questions were answered and all faces were greeted.

Rocky Mountain Return Centre

Return-It Man was looking quite dapper as he and his Super Sidekick strolled along the Boardwalk in New Westminster. Because of his very noticeable attire, Return-It Man attracted all sorts of attention and commanded quite the array of photo opportunities. From skateboarders and families to statesmen and even famous explorers, Return-It Man was certainly not just another face in the crowd. Back at Rocky Mountain Return Centre the crowd buzzed with the anticipation of the big camera draw. Even though there was only one camera, everyone walked away with something, even Return-It Man finished the day with a nice big vanilla ice cream...Mmmm! Thanks Rocky Mountain!

Steveston Bottle Depot

Return-It Man felt like he was walking through a Steinbeck novel as he visited the eclectic and friendly old canning community. Between soccer games and great little coffee shops, Return-It Man couldn't get enough of this welcoming part of town. The streets were alive with all the wonders of summer as Return-It Man made friends with all kinds of folks. Back at Steveston Bottle Depot, Return-It Man put on a recycling 'clinic' as he answered a barrage  of questions in true Super Hero form...never missing a beat, and always with a smile.
