Week 7 Highlights

Blue Mountain Bottle Depot

Frisbee was the game of choice out in Blue Mountain on this spectacular cloudless day. Our Super Hero was swarmed with fans at the local park as he gave out Frisbees like they were going out of style. Return-It Man was such a hit at the park that he even stuck around to organize a pickup game of Ultimate. Then using his Super Stealthness he snuck away to march down Austin Street. Meeting and greeting fans and friends Return-It Man almost lost track of time and had to make a dash back to the Depot, only to find an anxious crowd waiting for the big camera draw. Never one to upset his fans, Return-It Man and his Super Sidekick promptly drew a winner and danced the afternoon away, balloons and swag in tow!

Bridgeview Bottle & Return-It Depot

The busy traffic at Bridgeview Bottle & Return-It Depot honked away as Return-It Man danced up a storm. The flashy balloons proved to be very effective as many customers found that they were not only great for the kids, but also helped them find the Depot. Return-It Man went on quite the tour at Bridgeview, visiting everything from Bowling Alleys to the local Home Depot. In fact Return-It Man was able to get a glimpse of what one of the coveted prize BBQs looks like! Big rigs were honking and kids were cheering!  You couldn't ask for more than that! Bridgeview Depot was a hoot!

East Van Bottle Depot

Kaslo and Broadway was a-buzz with word of Return-It Man's appearance. The warm staff at the East Vancouver Bottle Depot giggled and beamed with excitement as Return-It Man and his Super Sidekick marched into the depot. Return-It Man spent most of his day dancing down Broadway, making friends and spreading the recycling cheer. Back at the depot people flocked to the draw box in the hopes of getting their hands on one of the prize cameras, and although there was only one camera winner, everyone walked away with the sweet and satisfying feeling of good karma!

Metrotown Return-It

Only one word to describe the weather at Metrotwon...GORGEOUS! The wonderfully informed staff at the Metrotown Return-It Depot had the day all planned out for our Super Hero. Return-It Man spent much of his day meeting and greeting along the road and near the local Skytrain Station. Families couldn't get enough of Return-It Man and his chiseled features. Posing for pictures left, right and centre, Return-It Man made a dash for the Library Festival at a nearby Park. Return-It Man was once again a central focus as he informed the library patrons how they can improve their own neighbourhoods by recycling. Finally a quick Frisbee game with some of the kids... 'Time flies when you're recycling, until next time Metrotown!'

The Bottle Depot - Port Alberni

Return-It Man and his Super Sidekick ventured to the Northern part of Vancouver Island and was welcomed by the wonderful folks at the Port Alberni Depot. They say that things are more relaxed on the Island... but they could have fooled Return-It Man. Balloons and Yo-yo's were a sensation as the recyclers poured in to the depot! Return-It Man zipped out to the local Plaza and once word got out that our friendly Super Hero was in town, folks couldn't get enough. His Super Sidekick felt like a super celebrity as he informed families and friends about the whereabouts of the The Bottle Depot - Port Alberni, while Return-It Man Flexed his recycling muscles for the crowd!

South Van Depot

Brother to the East Vancouver Depot, South Vancouver was equally buzzing with presence of Return-It Man. On the road Return-It Man was a sensation, literally guiding flocks of recyclers to the depot entrance. At the depot it was balloon mayhem, as grandmothers and children alike walked away with big bright balloons tied to their wrists. Next it was the local Superstore, where Return-It Man and his Super Sidekick informed the masses about the wonders of recycling. Many folks were pleasantly surprised to discover that there was a depot only a few blocks away... can't get more convenient than that!
