Services. For individuals who use our services, we may collect the following categories of personal information from you.
- Information you submit to us: information you provide in connection with the creation and management of your account for our services, such as your name, e-mail address, home address, telephone number, a security question and a password. We also collect demographic information such as your age range, gender, the number of people in your household and your recycling frequency which may be used for marketing purposes. We automatically collect log data and usage information relating to your use of our services.
Website. For individuals who visit our websites, we may collect the following categories of personal information from you or from your activities on the site.
- We may collect certain technical and device information about your use of our website. Such information may include your Internet protocol address, information about your device, Internet service provider, browser and operating system, referring and exit pages, and the date and time of your visit.
Location Data. For individuals who use our app, with your permission, the app collects location data only when you are actively using it. We only use this data to show you nearby Return-It depot locations and to confirm your proximity when generating a code to access Express & GO stations. These features use the Google Maps API to provide maps and directions. We do not store your location data or use it for any other purposes. You can control or revoke the app’s access to location at any time through your device settings.

Use of Cookies

We use “cookies” and enlist third party services which use cookies to track your preferences and activities on our Services. Cookies are small data files transferred to your computer’s hard-drive by a website. They keep a record of your preferences, making your subsequent visits to our website and Services more efficient and secure. Third Parties

We may share your personal information with third party service providers who perform a variety of services on our behalf, such as independent depot operators offering the Express program, transportation service providers, e-commerce providers, financial services providers, , telephone and technical support providers, hosting, data storage and processing service providers, and research and analytics providers.

If we provide your information to service providers related to the Services, then we require that the service providers maintain the confidentiality of your personal information and keep your personal information secure. We also require that they only use your personal information for the limited purposes for which it is provided. When our service providers no longer need your personal information for those limited purposes, we require that they dispose of the personal information. In some circumstances, we may permit our service providers to retain aggregated, anonymized or statistical information that does not identify you. We do not authorize the service providers to disclose your personal information to unauthorized parties or to use your personal information for their direct marketing purposes. Charitable Organizations

Where you choose to donate funds within the Services to a charitable organization, we will share your personal information, including your name and contact information, with that organization. Customer Account Data: We retain Customer Data for as long as an account is active, and for a reasonable time after account termination. We will retain some of your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, to resolve disputes, to enforce our agreements, and to support business operations.
Services Improvement and Development: Where we retain information for Service improvement and development, we take steps to make that information non-personal, non-identifiable and anonymous. We rely on third party services providers to perform a variety of services on our behalf, such as independent depot operators offering the Express program, transportation service providers, e-commerce providers, payment card processers, Interac processing providers, telephone and technical support providers, hosting, data storage and processing service providers, and research and analytics providers.

If we provide your information to service providers, then we require that the service providers maintain the confidentiality of your personal information and keep your personal information secure. We also require that they only use your personal information for the limited purposes for which it is provided. When our service providers no longer need your personal information for those limited purposes, we require that they dispose of the personal information. In some circumstances, we may permit our service providers to retain aggregated, anonymized or statistical information that does not identify you. We do not authorize the service providers to disclose your personal information to unauthorized parties or to use your personal information for their direct marketing purposes. We may require that you provide sufficient identification to fulfill your request to access or correct your personal information. Any such identifying information will be used only for this purpose. We will not charge you any fees to access your personal information in our records without first providing you with an estimate of the approximate fees, if any.

Third Pary Websites and Services

This Privacy Policy applies only to our services. This Privacy Policy does not extend to any websites or products or services provided by third parties. We do not assume responsibility for the privacy practices of such third parties, and we encourage you to review all third party privacy policies prior to using third party websites or products or services.

Children's Information

Our Services are not intended for children under the age of 16. Children under the age of 16 should not use our Services. If we learn that we have collected or received personal information from a child under 16 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.
