Return-It's 2019 Shoreline Cleanup

On September 20th, 2019, the Return-It team ventured to Old Orchard Park in beautiful Port Moody, BC to participate in the Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup for International Coastal Cleanup Day.

International Coastal Cleanup Day is one of the world’s largest annual volunteer efforts to preserve our oceans, shorelines, and waterways – it’s estimated that over 6 million volunteers across 90 countries participate each year. Our team is proud to take part in this event that not only has a huge impact on the cleanliness of our shorelines, but also empowers global citizens to take action against plastic pollution.

Our team collected 13.8 kilograms of trash and recyclables from the coastline at Old Orchard Park. Our most-collected items include cigarette butts, plastic pieces, foam pieces, and food wrappers. What a fun and impactful way to get out of the office and help preserve a beautiful local BC park!
