Winter Break Update

Hello Everyone,

I hope the holiday season finds you in good spirits.

As we all get ready for well deserved break it’s a good time to think about a post winter break bottle drive for the school.  Visit our section on bottle drives or contact your local depot for information and tips on ogranizing an event at your school.  www.return-it.ca/programs/bottledrives

Our annual award certificates for the superstar individual and teams at your school will be available to request in mid January via the form on the website.  Please allow approximately 3 weeks for delivery.

School enrollment adjustments

We have received the enrollment numbers for all the school as of September 30, 2011 and changes where have required are in the process of being completed for January 15th.  Please feel free to contact us if the newly adjusted enrollment number is incorrect for your school.

Encorp Pacific would like to wish everyone all Happy and Safe Holiday season.

Happy Recycling!

2011-2012 School Year

Back into another year and we are seeing schools back to work; recycling their empty beverage containers. Just over a month and half into the contest Elementary and High Schools have collected 400,000 empty beverage containers.

This year to help schools with promoting the recycling efforts at their individual schools we have created profile pages with personalized URL (web addresses) on our website for each school.

 For example: http://www.return-it.ca/elementaryreporting/a-h-p-matthew-elementary/

Each page has a section for a profile, where you can write about the school and what it’s doing, a place to post pictures showing your schools recycling efforts in action and the progress tracker showing how you are doing in your enrollment category and how many of each container type the school  has collected.

There is also a map on the page showing the depot nearest to the school or the depot that the school is working with.  This will help make it easy for people to find the depot of choice for the school.

Be sure to read and post a blog for your school, it will be a great way to keep in loop for this year’s program.

If at anytime you have any questions, please feel to contact me at elementaryinfo@encorpinc.com

Christmas Donations

At our school we have a small recycling club of 5 grade 6 students. Our student body is very good at supporting the recycling program, but these dedicated students come every Thursday morning at 7:30 am and sort and count all the schools recycling. We have donated money to the Terry Fox Foundation, Rick Hansen Foundation, we have bought wheelchairs for Mexico and this Christmas we supported our own. We bought two bicycles for two grade 4 boys who have never had a bike and walk to school each day rain or shine. Hope they are surprised and hope they enjoy their new bikes!!! My recycling club was very excited about this donation!!
