Effective April 1, 2013, British Columbia will return to Goods and Services Tax (GST) 5% and Provincial Sales Tax (PST) 7% system and therefore, Harmonized Sales Tax HST of 12% will no longer be applicable starting April 1, 2013.

Please note that Environmental Handling Fees (EHF) paid on obligated electronics products that are sold to end consumers in the province of British Columbia are subject to GST and PST. Remitters who collect PST from end consumers should remit the PST (7%) to PST department directly and therefore, it should not be included in the remittance to EPRA.
